MADE FROM FORESTRY ‘LOP & TOP’
We collect ‘lop & top’ from forests within 60-miles of our factory and make it into Roastie-Toasties. ‘Lop & top’ is the part of the tree that is left behind on the forest floor (the branches and the crown). The best bits are taken by timber merchants - we also take leftovers from sawmills.

Roastie-Toasties burn at least twice as hot due to their high calorific value (17.3 MJ/kg) and their low moisture content - less than 10%.
100% SUSTAINABLE
Our briquettes carry the only globally recognised badge of sustainability - the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere certification mark. We collect forestry brash sourced within 60 miles of our factory in south west Scotland and turn it into Roastie-Toasties by drying the wood, and compressing it. The natural lignin in the wood binds the briquette as it is compressed.
